NOBALIS

NOBALIS project (Nordic-Baltic universities boosting entrepreneurial and innovation support systems)  is implemented by Nordic-Baltic consortium consisting of five agricultural and technical universities and two organisations with expertise in tech transfer, start-up support, and acceleration programmes. In line with regional smart specialisation strategies and research areas of the participating higher education institutions (HEI), the programme is set out to develop, share, and expand innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) support capabilities in the areas of  sustainable food production, circular economy, and new green value chains

BIA has a leading role in carrying out the  NOBALIS Entrepreneurial and Innovation Capacity Development (EICD) Programme. This is a 3-month programme focused on food, biotech, and bioresources.

NOBALIS is part of HEI Initiative program of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) (cohort 2) and is funded by the European Union. The aim of the HEI Initiative is to increase the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity in higher education by bringing together HEIs in innovation value chains and ecosystems across Europe.
